I can’t believe how fast this year is going, much faster than normal but then, it isn’t a normal year.
Last week, I was approached by a company called Books2Door. They are a company who want to encourage a love of reading in all children. They have been offering exceptional books at affordable prices since 2004.
They select books that they know children will fall in love with, from treasured classics to the latest must-have series. With their extensive range of authors and genres, there is something for every child, from reluctant readers to eager bookworms.
I was given a list of books to look through and choose which one I would like to take a look at. As I home-educate my youngest daughter, Jayne, who is 13, we sat down and looked through the list.
She loves Horrible Histories so she chose ‘Horrible Histories Blood Curdling 20 Books Collection’ for 9-14 year olds in paperback by Terry Deary
The price for this boxset is £18.98, original price £45.00 so you save £26.02 (58%) and contains 20 titles:
Savage Stone Age | Awesome Egyptians | Groovy Greeks | Rotten Romans
Cut-Throat Celts | Smashing Saxons | Vicious Vikings | Stormin Normans
Angry Aztecs | Incredible Incas | Measly Middle Age | Terrible Tudors
Slimy Stuarts | Gorgeous Georgians | Vile Victorians | Villinous Victorians
Barmy British Empire | Frighteul First World War | Woeful Second World War
Our last correspondence was 5.30pm Monday 21st Sept, thanking me and letting me know that the boxset will be sent to me. We received the parcel today, Saturday 26th Sept, arriving in a box all taped down securely, as it should be. We opened the box and inside was the boxset we had ordered, brand new and wrapped in cellophane.
Each book sits nicely in the box they come in so they can be kept together and maybe in the right order, depending on your child.
Jayne has started to read the Savage Stone Age, she will be putting her review up on her blog as soon as she has finished reading.
For me as a parent, the books you will find on Books2Door will be ideal for a child from 0-5 up to Young Adult, but also there is also fiction for adults
